Teachers learn to teach: Team ITIT REPORT
“In 2007-2008, the Information Technology Integration Team [ITIT] started out as a study group. The following year, we progressed to an action group. For the past two years, we have trained over fifty Middle and Secondary School teachers with the view to helping them integrate technology into their daily teaching. After last year’s experience, we realized that the bulk of the accomplishments was in the creation of wikis and blogs. Most of the members were willing participants, and even the “technophobes” were able to overcome their initial reluctance, as is evidenced by their continued use of their blogs.
II. Goals Accomplished The chart below indicates the expansion in the use of teacher blogs over the last three years. [The blogs this year were particularly useful when some classes had to shut down owing to the H1N1 epidemic.]

More than 500 students in the Middle and Secondary Schools of IC were recognized for their skills, talents, and academic achievements.

Les élèves du CM2/5th, âgés de 10 à 12 ans qui sont en dernière année du Programme Primaire ont entrepris conjointement une activité de recherche prolongée incluse dans un projet cumulatif appelé «Exposition».
Cette action qui exige des participants de se mobiliser tout au long de l’année, n'est pas une mince affaire. Nous pouvons donc dire que le mois de mai a été riche en recherches, entrevues, analyse de données, action, etc.
Ce projet, constituant un événement d’importance dans la vie de l’école et des élèves, a été effectué sous la supervision des directeurs, des enseignants et des mentors et a permis de faire la synthèse des éléments essentiels du PP et de les partager avec l’ensemble de la communauté scolaire. (...)

Broadway has come to the I.C. Elementary!
The 5th graders at Ras Beirut sang and danced their way into the hearts of a mesmerized audience during their end of year music show that was held on June 18th.
The mosaic of songs during the performance ranged from folk music, to Russian, Arabic, Jazz, and Disco.
What made the show unique this year was teacher involvement as the class teachers sang a song along with the students and played musical instruments to accompany them. All this was possible due to the talent and guidance of Ms. Tatiana Bondonovich and the musical expertise of Mr. Wafic Itani.

L’IC a accueilli un stage AEFE
L’IC a accueilli dans ses locaux un stage AEFE intitulé: « EAO : des logiciels pour la classe ». Ce stage, animé par Mme Catherine Janin, formatrice en TICE-Créteil et directrice adjointe du site de Livry-Gargan, a réuni une vingtaine d’éducateurs venant de diverses écoles homologuées afin d’explorer les méthodes d’apprentissage par des moyens technologiques.
Du lundi 17 au vendredi 21 mai, les participants ont été guidés dans la découverte des ressources en ligne et la construction de situations d’apprentissage, particulièrement en mathématiques (logiciel GOGEBRA), ainsi que d’autres outils essentiels. La semaine a été clôturée par une synthèse des travaux et l’exploration des logiciels introduits dans d’autres domaines.
